HAIN CAPITAL GROUP, LLC WAS FOUNDED BY ROBERT KOLTAI IN 2002
Rob Koltai has been trading distressed receivables for the past 30+ years. He managed a distressed trade claims trading operation at Oppenheimer & Co., where his group traded in excess of $2 billion of trade claims. He was previously a distressed investment analyst at Quadrangle Group and has managed a business unit of Greystone.
Mr. Koltai has contributed to scholarly articles relating to bankruptcy claims trading and has lectured at Columbia Business School and various event-driven conferences on distressed investing. He received his BA in History from the University of California, Berkeley and his law degree from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles.
Mr. Koltai serves on the board and is the past president of Hand in Hand, a northern New Jersey-based food bank. He also founded and served on the board of The Passaic/Clifton Montessori School (a K-8th grade school).
